Platform partnerships: local partners for subscription and platform businesses
A company whose revenue is subscriptions and that needs a local instance and a local partner for each market has the same difficulties as a franchise system: documenting and transferring know-how, and managing a partner. Franchise consultants do not understand digital models; digital consultants do not know partner mechanics.
Platform Partnership Program
4 to 6 months. For a platform company with a working platform and first subscribers at home. Until the first reference, the programme runs as a pilot.
- Diagnosis: subscriber economics, churn, the platform's readiness for localisation, and what a partner in the market actually contributes.
- Partnership model: territory, revenue share from subscriptions instead of fees on turnover, the technical limits of the local instance and what the partner may adapt, partner economics without premises, ownership of the customer base and the division of data protection obligations, development commitments expressed in subscribers instead of units.
- Platform licence agreement: protection of software, data and brand, ownership of the customer base, service levels, development commitments, and exit clauses that settle what happens to the base on termination.
- Local operating manual: customer onboarding, support, pricing policy, content localisation, limits of intervention in the platform.
- Training architecture and knowledge library for partners.
- Network management: indicators, reporting, escalation, management of obligations.
What stays out
Technical localisation and platform development, and marketing to end users. We design the partnership and the contracts and we train and manage the partners; the platform is yours.
The first conversation is without obligation and takes 45 minutes.
Within five working days we prepare a proposal for a Focused Engagement or a programme, with scope, deliverables, deadline and a fixed price. The price is fixed, by work package, and is reduced only with a proportionate reduction in scope, a longer deadline or a larger contribution by the client.
